1360s Florentine Garb

This is another project for the distant future but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy these images in the meantime! Compared to the fashion of Florence 100 years later, these dresses are very simple in their (deceptive) appearance. They could be similar in construction to the more popular French 'cotehardie' or 'fitted cote' of around this period but I've not really decided which one to go for... To see these images in the context of the frescoes they were painted in, search the Nardo di Cione and Andrea di Firenze.
